Absolutely - there are three levels of access that can be granted, system access which would enable a user to make configuration changes, report access which would grant a user access to the reporting facilities and ODBC access which would grant ODBC access to the database if one wanted to write there own reports. The level of access is fully customisable per module with any combination of access granted to any number of users.
You can restrict a user from the User Administration menu as follows -
- Login. You can set up a network address and mask to restrict any user to the PC, Network or Sub-net, Class A,B, or C address, or allow access from anywhere. This is useful for increasing security especially if the unit is accessible from the internet.
- Bandwidth Manager. You can allow System, Reports and ODBC or any combination thereof. You can also restrict the User to a specific rule Group or Interface or a list of groups and Interfaces. If you set up rule groups and system access then that user can modify, create or delete any rule in that group/s. In reports then only those groups will be shown for the user to select reports from.
- Caching. You can allow System, Reports and ODBC or any combination thereof. You can also restrict the user to a network or sub-net of client IP addresses and the user will be restricted to only see data from/to that set of clients.
- Mail. You can allow System, Reports and ODBC or any combination thereof. You can also enter up to 10 domains that the user is allowed access to.
- Firewall. You can allow System, Reports and ODBC or any combination thereof.
