When we receive a mail, either from internal or external, we store it in quarantine locally. We then analyze the mail and any attachments. If necessary we then unravel the attachments and scan the results. If successful we then place the mail into an outbound queue and it will get delivered. If unsuccessful we delete the mail completely and notify the sender and/or recipient and/or the mail administrator and we log the event in an SQL database for later analysis.
