Very secure. The unit itself is protected very well with a robust firewall and although it spans between a secure and insecure network there is no actual connection between the two. We do not bridge or route through our unit at all. We receive and send external mail on the insecure link directly from our local disk and we do the same internally on the secure network. To some extent exactly how secure is up to you. If you allow connections from unsecured hosts there are implications. If you allow relays from unknown or insecure hosts then sooner or later your server will get banned.
